Kentucky Derby Odds
The Kentucky Derby betting event is right around the corner and fans from across the sporting world are pouring in to the horse racing books. With just under a month left until the race, here is a guide on which horses, horse betting enthusiasts should consider wagering on.
Nehro - With the recent withdrawal from Triple Crown contention by Premier Pegasus, a lot of horse handicappers have scrambled to find a new horse to risk their money with. Enter Nehro, who was sired by Mineshaft and whose great grand sire was the legendary Seattle Slew. Nehro has odds of 30 to one to win the Kentucky Derby, but so far in its racing tenure has looks as good as its ancestors. Over its last two races, Nehro has finished first and second respectively. However, its biggest test will come this weekend during the Arkansas Derby, as it is Nehro's only Grade I stakes race before the Kentucky Derby.
Elite Alex - The son of former Kentucky Derby winner Afleet Alex, Elite Alex is a horse that many breeders cup bettingfans should consider an option to qualify for the Kentucky Derby. Essentially, trained in Canada, Elite Alex is ridden by legendary Churchill Downs jockey and winner of two of the last four Kentucky Derby's Calvin Borel. Its next race is at the Arkansas Derby Grade I stakes race. With a win, Elite Alex could follow sire Afleet Alex in using the race as a stepping stone to becoming a Kentucky Derby Champion.
Pants On Fire - Another horse making a late push for some bets on the Kentucky Derby odds line, is Pants On Fire. Sired by Jump Start, Pants On Fire has seen its stock rise over the last couple of months, as it has literally placed in the money in each of its races. Similar to Nehro, with the late withdrawal of Premier Pegasus, Pants On Fire has all the tools to come in and win the Kentucky Derby.
