Breeders Cup Preview

This morning, Breeders Cup betting enthusiasts were excited to learn that a record setting 193 horses entered their names early in the Breeders Cup’s 15 race event set for November 4 and 5th at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. The 193 horses are coming to Churchill Downs from all over the world, and are battling for the chance to win one of 15 bookie software titles. Here is a preview of the biggest races at the Breeders Cup this season.

Breeders Cup Classic – The Breeders Cup Classic will have one of the deepest classes of any of the 15 races in 2011. This year, Havre De Grace, the top filly in the world will be entered in the race, in hoping to become the second filly since Zenyatta to win the notoriously all male pool. Havre De Grace is joined by 2010 Juvenile Turf winner Uncle Mo, who despite missing the majority of the 2011 season due to illness and an infrequent racing schedule, enters the race as the favorite. A couple of other horses that fans should keep their eyes on, are Game On Dude, Flat Out, and European horses So You Think and Await the Dawn. With six of a possible 15 horses in the Breeders Cup having a good odds to win, look for the field to be more wide open then ever before.

Breeders Cup Mile – Another race for NHL fans to tune into at the Breeders Cup will be the Breeders Cup Mile. The 13 horse pre-registered race is highlighted by the return of legendary Irish horse, Goldikova. Trained by the legendary Freddy Head, Goldikova has put together a nice run the last few years at the Breeders Cup. Essentially, the Irish filly has won an impressive three times at the course, which is more then any other horse in this year’s 193 horse field.
